"The new version of the Riviera hat"

The Riviera is the perfect hat for both the beach and the city. It is a genuine Panama hat with a cloche shape — Lastelier's iconic silhouette — made from smooth, natural-colored Panama straw. In this new version, it is worn as is with its black ribbon, the model's original signature and the first in a collection of patented interchangeable ribbons, allowing you to imagine a different Riviera with each ribbon.

The Riviera is a Panama hat handmade in Ecuador with toquilla straw from a local palm species. In 2012, UNESCO inscribed the traditional weaving of the Panama hat on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. In the beginning, the main function of the Panama hat was to protect people from the sun, then it became a fashionable hat (which still protects from the sun). The Riviera hat is certified with a UPF40 sun protection rating, blocking more than 97.5% of UV rays.

The Riviera also features all the patented signature interior elements of Lastelier hats:
- A black interior to prevent makeup or cream stains
- A comfortable and slightly snug interior elastic to keep the hat securely on the head, even in windy conditions
- And finally, a patented interior pocket where you can store a credit card, hotel key card, or money.

Storage & Maintenance

Storage:

Before storing it, you must ensure that the hat is very clean and dry. If it has a little dust, a light brushing with a soft brush or lint roller will work just fine. Store it away from direct light, in a place of its own and where it will not be exposed to dust, crushed or deformed such as in a hat box, a storage box, on a shelf , on a hat stand…

To store it, several options are available to you:

You can lay it flat with shell padding
You can put it upside down, that is to say on the cap, taking care that the edges do not touch any surface
You can hang it as a decoration on a wall or put it on a coat rack, taking care to turn it from time to time

Maintain:

Gently brushing your hat, once a month, helps preserve it well. To do this, simply use a soft brush, lint roller or even a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to remove dust, dirt and hair from your hat.

If you do not know your size please follow the following steps:

Take a measuring tape, or failing that, a string that you will measure later
Place it approximately 1 cm above the ears and eyebrows, loosely and you will have your measurement
The measurement falls between 2 sizes? Opt for the next size up
